Bardon, practical alchemy, and the emerald tablet

Message 00196 of 3835

Hi, I have a question regarding alchemy. Having recently read Rawns
commentary on the emerald tablet, I was wondering how analogous the
operations of practical alchemy are to the hermetic initiation of
bardon. The process of seperating parts, refining, and then
recombining for example is clearly seen throughout the entire work.
But how about the works of newton/etc, how does the alchemical
mercury and antimony relate to the path of Bardon hermetics? As I
understand this (may not be the best choice of words ;) ), the tablet
first claims that `as above, so below` in making the one-thing is a
reality found between all things at all levels. This seems to
indicate that the works and symbols of practical alchemy should have
their analogies in bardons system. Kabbalistically Ican see some
similarities with perhaps tipheret/gold, saturn/lead, etc ... but
what analogies can be drawn between the two `processes` ?
I hope this isn't too irrelevant,
Joe.
