Elements, fluids, tetrapolar magnet and IHVH

Message 00459 of 3835

Dear Rawn,

I'm still struggling with the principle of the tetrapolar magnet
(more than ever, in fact. I'm going through a period of time during
which I emerge from my meditations with more topics to investigate
than with answers) :

a) In certain textes, the tetrapolar magnet is described as the set
of four elements. In other sections, as the combination of the two
qualities of the two fluids (ref .IIH, at the middle of the part
dedicated to Man, section 9. "about the body" - Ruggeberg) :

Quote
As we have learned, the fiery element produces the electrical and
the water element the magnetic fluid. Each of these fluids has two-
pole radiations, an active and a passive one, and the mutual
influences and interactions of all the radiations of the four poles
resemble a tetra-polar magnet, which is identical to the secret of
the Tetragrammaton, the Yod-He-Vau-He of the quabbalists.
EndQuote

If I take the snippit above literally, only Fire and Water under
their respective two aspects should be considered in the tetra-polar
magnet, since only those two Elements are in relationship with the
electric and magnetic "individual" Fluids.
Does this mean that Air and Earth are "implied" each time Fire and
Water are present, and are included in the "mutual influence and
interaction of all the radiations" sentence above ?

...But wouldn't this imply also that [Fire and Water] equal [Fire,
Water, Air and Earth], which would sound illogical, even to me ? Or
is this the *classical* example of the whole being more than the sum
of all parts ?

Heeelp :-(

b) The tetra-polar magnet is in relationship with "Yod-Hé-Vau-Hé".

Do we know which letter corresponds to which Element ? My un-
educated beta-version of first guess is that Yod may be Fire, Hé be
Air, Vau may be Water and Hé may be Earth : Air and Earth having in
common to be "resulting" Elements provoked by the presence of Fire
and Water for one, and Fire, Water and Air for the last one, hence
the use of the same letter ...Not convicing, but this is the only
thing I can think of at that point.

The *location* of the letter in the name seems important anyway. Any
relationship between said location in the Name and the description
of a different degree of density (law of polarity, as mentionned in
the Kybalion) ?

Where can I find out ? Or does the answer lie at another level ? Or
should I forget for the time being?

I know my logic is very probably at fault, but I confess I'm quite
stuck on those questions. Little period of mental confusion :-)

Many thanks and best regards
NB
