Re: Re:Essential meaning

Dear Scott,

>> Ok, So to take the example of the plastic action figures in your
other post about essential meaning, the figure of Godzilla; the
essential meaning is, in this case, created in the artists mind as an
idea or intention, a message or intent that he/she wanted to convey
which results in the form of Godzilla? <<

It's not quite so simple. The end result generally expresses more than
the artist intended and may even express something entirely different
than the artist's intention. This Godzilla, for example, also carries
with it the fact that it was stamped out, en mass, by some poor person
in China making $20 a month. It also carries the essence of the
material it was made of. [A wooden Godzilla, even if it looked exactly
the same, would carry a somewhat different essence than this plastic
fellow.] It also carries the essence of all those who played with it at
one time or another.

>> But what about natural forms such as a rose or tree, where do their
essential meanings originate?
Since they are not the result of an idea in a persons mind like the
Godzilla character or the hunchback character, where do their essential
meanings originate from?
After reading the 'Gems of Akasha' response about essential meaning I
can understand that it is the essential meaning that allows the
manifestation and without the essential meaning there is no essence with
which astral or physical matter can cling. Nature dresses according to
the essential meaning the form in the astral density or both the astral
and physical densities.
But from where does the essential meaning of natural forms originate (
since these do not originate in the mind of man )? <<

The essential meanings that underlie natural forms originate with the
Primordial Causation. And, in a sense, so too do the essential meanings
resident within man-made forms, since the essential meanings of humans
also originate with the Primordial Causation.

My best to you,
:) Rawn Clark
