As Bardon explained in chapter 12 of Part Two of PME, the planetary
spheres (beyond the zone girdling the earth) cannot be reached with the
astral body. Only the mental body can travel to those spheres. It's
the mental body that one fills with the corresponding light and since
the mental body does not experience sensation, there are no sensations
ascribed to these condensations of light.

During an *evocation* (as opposed to mental wandering), one does *not*
fill one's own body with the corresponding colored light. Instead, the
magician condenses the light *within the Triangle* as a means of
providing an atmosphere in which the entity will be comfortable.
