I did, and it partially helped, and partially worsened
the situation. Let me explain:

a) it does help in the sense that it "spreads" the
tension or whatever it is among various regions
indeed. Momentarily.
b) it worsens in the sense that it increases the
energy quite strongly. Like the "chi" thing people
talk about. And my head feels like it suddenly gets
more of "I-don't-know-what" and cannot accept it.

A little detail: I don't even need to be in meditation
anymore to face this problem. Just closing the eyes
during 1-2 seconds provokes the thing.
BTW: I went to see an oculist to check the blood
pressure in the eyes. Everything seems ok.

No. At least not in this type of discipline :-) 
I did practice chakra healing <after> the beginning of
all this and it helped me a lot, but my life made a
U-Turn and I had to stop for a while after a few years
for various reasons. 
I also practiced vizualisation (Silva method etc.)
simultaneously with chakra healing. I loved it.

But your questions helped indeed: if I understood the
"Air" description correctly in Bardon's book and
Rawn's comment:

a) Air is in charge of providing equilibrium between
Fire and Water (which it seems to do in my present
case - that's the "relieving part").

b) If may also feed Fire (if "as above so below/as
below so above" is true in this case, Air could also
feed Fire energetically like in the physical realm: I
recall that it is also burned with Food to feed the
Elements e.g.) 
...that may be the "worsening part". More breathing
may give more Fire.

So ...I don't know. Maybe not enough Water ? Too much
Fire compared to my Earth ?
