To All: I hope by sharing some of my mistakes we might convert these into learning experiences for myself and others. It is Saturday evening and I have been enjoying a pleasant few hours reading the files posted on the Bardon Companion web site. I read the essay on Shielding with great interest. I tried the first shield (using the white light) and that seemed to go very well. Emboldened to practice something more advanced I tried the next one using an accumulation of Vital Energy. I haven't yet reached that part of IIH (still on step 1) but I have learned to move what I think is VE during my study of other disciplines. I thought, "what the heck - the worst that can happen is that it won't work." Ah, the optimism of a beginner! <rueful smile> I created the three VE shields and set them rotating. Well, first I started to get pleasantly warm (it is a cool night out here in the Midwest of the U.S.). Then unpleasantly warm. As I write at this moment I am bathed in sweat. Plus . . . all that spinning of the shields is making me very dizzy for some reason (in fact I feel like I am spinning in the opposite direction as the direction of rotation I willed into the shields). Fortunately I know how to ground the energy I call up so I am not anticipating any real problems -- I just wanted to know what I did wrong (other than the obvious error of trying something too advanced for my level of attainment). Contritely, dizzily and over-heatedly yours, /RM/ P.S. The effects are fading -- I think concentrating on writing this e-mail let the shields dissipate.
