Dear Peter, >From an Hermetic perspective, the twin-hemisphere idea only goes so far. It pertains only to those portions of the *brain* that process certain functions of the Mind. The brain is not the Mind. It is the Mind which decides which array of functions it will employ and the brain merely serves as the receptacle of that will. In other words, the brain doesn't decide to use one hemisphere or another -- the Mind decides to function in a certain way and this activity causes corresponding parts of the brain to function in specific ways. So when science examines the brain and decides that function 'a' belongs to one hemisphere, and function 'b' to the other, it's really just tracking the effects of Mind-acting-through-brain. What's of paramount importance to the magician is the Mind's function, not the brain's. My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 18 My 2003 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis http://E.webring.com/hub?ring=arionthebardonwe
