Hello Joao, didn't knew you where here too :)

I think that the most authority here to decide that is your own
judgment, common-sense, and heart ;) Well, you could also ask your
Higher-Self if you're able to communicate with him...

Nevertheless, there are some common points that may lead you to know
that a certain lodge or order can be false. This are:

- When it envolves money (Fins Lucrativos);
- When they affirm that they are the only true Initiatic order, in
possess of the only truth or whatsoever;
- When they force you to believe in certain transcendental stories;
- When they force you to act in some strange ways that certainly
escape your common-sense;
- When they force you to worship a physical entity or something like
that;
- When they don't allow you to quit the order, or say they would do
something bad (or the Universe will) if you do that;
- When they say things about the end-of-the-world, or other stories
like that, leading you to act in some strange ways;
- When they don't allow their students to share experiences beetween
each others;
- When they don't lead you to experiences (taken care that you do,
indeed, practice).

In the end, it all depends on your own self judgment. There is no
way for you to be 100% certain of the intention of a certain order,
at least in the beginning. Trust me, if you train years and years,
and you don't see any positive changes in yourself and "powers"
appearing, then something is REALLY wrong... Not that the "powers"
are the goal, but they are, ultimatly, an effect of your training.

Take care dear Joao,

Hugo Jose Ferreira
