Dear Aquarian Navigator, >> The question is about the philosophers stone. I can hardly understand about obtaining this stone. Is it obtained by practice or is it by enlightenment? << Bardon used "philosopher's stone" metaphorically, not literally. By the term, he meant to indicate the perfected, enlightened human that results from pursuit of the work itself. Such a person is very much like the Stone in that they perfectly condense and express the Fluids and have achieved a perfect state of Elemental Equilibrium within all three bodies (physical, astral and mental). Alchemy is part of Hermetics and is thus founded upon the same principles as Hermetic Initiation. Consequently there are many similarities between Hermetic Initiation and the Alchemical process. Where they differ is in the medium each is enacted upon -- Alchemy upon physical matter and Initiation upon the human spirit -- but the end result can well be labeled the same (i.e., the Philosopher's Stone). My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 08 Aug 2003 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis http://E.webring.com/hub?ring=arionthebardonwe
