Re: Fasting (& Vegetarism)

Message 01372 of 3835

-Dear Friend

I found what you had to say about fasting very interesting. I
involuntarily fasted years ago, when travelling thru central Spain
and had my wallet lifted in Madrid! I heard voices, not distinct but
muttering. Any others experience this? The other point I take issue
with is the following blurring of terminology when you said:

-- > To give you an ideas of what is "extreme fasting", in the 80's 2
> irish activists put in jail fastens for 60 days to get a political
> prisonner status.

These people were not 'activists', they were terrorists, and they
were not 'put in jail', they were convicted of terrorist atrocities,
the one who died having bombed a bus station and killed innocent
fellow Irish people. There were faults on both sides, but we need to
be clear in our own minds where we stand on the taking of life to
satisfy our own ends, No?

Blessings,

Uthlagus
