I seems that your friend has a lot to work through. But that work is hers. 
You can offer her solace and you can certainly send her metaphysical help, 
but her karma is hers. As manifest beings we are limited. It seems that 
this is her limitation. I would contend that your friend must do the work 
for herself for their to be real progress made. Do not take her karma on... 
then you make it your own. Just my opinion. Regardless, I hope your friend 
finds her way.
