Dear Pixi, >> So how does one practice in less than optimal conditions? << As others have already said, be creative. :) >> Do you continue to wait until you have the privacy and time to devote or do you attempt to do what parts you can and hope that you have completed them properly? << Passively waiting for things to change in your life is a fairly fruitless practice and genuinely contrary to what initiation demands of the student. A magician must embrace change, head on. I suggest that you begin by changing your life circumstances so that you are in a situation where you do have privacy. Contentious living situations do nobody any good and they do not make a conducive setting for beginning the IIH work. My advice is that if you can invent ways of doing the exercises as your life circumstances stand presently, then go for it. Just be sure that you do the exercises from each of the three sections simultaneously. It might be a slower process for you, but at least it will be a beginning and help provide you with a sense of *forward* momentum. But if you cannot create the time to pursue these three types of exercises simultaneously, then I advise that you change your life circumstances first, and create enough time and space for yourself so that you can do what's required by the course. My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 15 Oct 2003 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis http://E.webring.com/hub?ring=arionthebardonwe
