Dear Richard, >> In the past I've tried to correlate Chinese/Taoist 5 element theory with Bardons 4 element/2 fluid model. << As you probably know, I think that trying to correlate the Chinese/Taoist model and the Hermetic model is a waste of time and a fairly futile venture. This is especially true when you have yet to truly experience the Elements and Fluids for yourself. I understand that making the connection between the two is intellectually intended as a way of increasing your understanding of an unfamiliar model, but in truth, it does not help. The two systems are so different that in order to truly understand either, you must take each on its own merits and explore it separately from the other. If you expect the Chinese/Taoist Elements when working with the Hermetic Elements, then you will miss what the Hermetic Elements mean, and vice-a-versa. In fact, I think one reason why most descriptions of the Hermetic Elements and Fluids are so vague is because in order to truly understand them you must *experience* them. >> Tied in with those intellectual machinations, I was wondering whether the electric/magnetic fluids appear in different grades or qualities, or whether they only appear in a single, pure form, differing only in quantity? << The four Elements *are* the "different grades or qualities" of the Fluids. My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 30 April 2004 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis http://E.webring.com/hub?ring=arionthebardonwe
