Dear Daniel, >> When "just the beginning of a thought arises", is it counted for an "interruption" or "digression"? (I'm afraid that your answer would be yes) << It depends upon the context. In the observation exercise it would not be. In that exercise the only things that qualify as an interruption or digression are when you become involved with your mind's contents (i.e., you start participating in the actual thoughts, emotions, etc.) or you lose track of the fact that you're observing. With EOM however, the arising of thoughts would be counted as an interruption. My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 13 July 2004 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis http://E.webring.com/hub?ring=arionthebardonwe
