Dear Rawn, Thanks for the insight on Da'ath, which I have found very interesting. The concept that Da'ath represents the assimilation of all "lower" sephirot into one's consciousness is a new one, and not one I have encountered before. My take on Da'ath comes from S.Y: "Understand with Wisdom and be wise with understanding". I felt that this was a reference to Da'ath and represented the assimilation/merging of Binah and Chokhmah elements into one's consciousness...As such, may I ask: 1. Is this correct and, if not what is the hermetic explanation of this sentence; and 2. Could both elements still refer to Da'ath but on different arcs, so to speak. Many thanks Kindest regards Dan --- Rawn Clark <rawnclark@...> wrote: > Dear Dasha, > > >> Trying to clarify the matter further, please > correct me if I am wrong > on any of the following: > Daath, being idividual to every person's > consciousness, is the sum- > total of the knowledge (experiences obtained on the > path) gained by > assimilation of all the Sephiroth below the Abyss > into one's > consciousness. << > > Yes. > > >> Knowledge that arises as the conjuction of > Understanding and Wisdom, > union of the opposites, << > > Knowledge is neither Understanding nor Wisdom. > > >> is the result of the work but not it's end. > Knowledge can't be sought > as the end in its own right - but rather must be > seen as 'the bridge' > (biblical "entering through the narrow gate") that > makes it possible for > us to attain that which lies beyond the Supernal > Triad. << > > No-thing "lies beyond the Supernal Triad".
