It seems to me that the entire first three steps concern the ability not to be distracted or sidetracked. I feel vacancy of mind at least partly concerns noticing that thoughts arise as energies within the soul-body which wish to have a voice. When I notice these energies-about-to-be-thoughts, I can stop them before they become thoughts. Eventually I feel they will know when they are wanted and when not, and then I can turn my attention away from them altogether, or not as I choose. Since my body is relaxed I can ignore it, and since my soul is calm and smooth it produces no thoughts either. Taking the mind as the spritual plane, it seems one is attempting to feel what it is like purely to be on that level and to forget the fact that I normally use the mind to focus on feelings and on my body and solving their problems. Does this seem right? thanks, Jason [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
