Re: Re: Tetrapolar magnet - color of elements

Dear Vania,

>> Does the perception of the elements' colors depend on the individual
like with the elementals, or is there a "better" set of colors one
should stick to? <<

There are several different "traditions" or systems of correspondence
between the Elements and color. The QPM diagram does use the colors
that I prefer, simply because it's something I drew. :) These are the
colors that I "grew up" using and the ones that work best for *me*.
This system and Bardon's system both adequately express the Elements
through color. However, using red for Water, would *not* adequately
express the nature of Water, so there are limitations as to how much
latitude personal preference is given.

What does not ever vary are the qualities of each Element, vis a vis
hot/cold/wet/dry/Electric/Magnetic.

>> Also in some books on Kabala I've come across a different arrangement
of the elements on the tetrapolar magnet, where the places of fire and
water are swapped. Does that make a difference and if so what? <<

These are just variations in presentation, not in meaning, so they have
very little, if any, significance. Another name for the QPM/TPM is the
"Cross of Equated Forces". This is just a slightly different way of
depicting the Quadrapolar Magnet -- the meaning is exactly the same.

My best to you,
:) Rawn Clark
