Dear John,

Welcome to BardonPraxis! :)

If you look in the "Files" section of the BardonPraxis webpage, you'll
find .pdf versions of several of Bardon's books and in various
languages.

My best to you,
:) Rawn Clark

Subject: Re: Welcome to BardonPraxis

I live in New Zealand. (Are there any other list members here?). I have
all of Franz Bardon's books, which I bought about 20 years ago, along
with many other books on magic/occultism/psychokinesis etc., but have
done relatively little with them until now, when I found you from a
Google search. For easy reference e.g. in composing emails and essays, I
am now in the process of obtaining electronic copies (PDFs) of as many
of them as possible.

One thing that strikes me about Franz Bardon's books: where did he get
his magical information from, e.g. the names and sigils of so many
magical spirits? Was he in contact with spirits, who dictated the
information to him mediumistically in a similar manner to Dr John Dee
(who used Edward Kelley as a medium) in the 16th century, or via
automatic writing? Although his works have something in common with e.g.
the Key of Solomon and the Lemegeton (Lesser book of Solomon, in 5
parts), they have a lot of material found nowhere else.

He describes "planetary spirits", the existence of which is corroborated
by other sources, e.g. Edgar Cayce, who says that the other planets are
inhabited by spirits in other dimensional states of consciousness
(compared to 3-dimensional here), there being a total of 8 dimensions.
The activities of the spirit inhabitants of the planets, Cayce
indicates, are somehow modulated upon the magnetic fields of the
planets, resulting in the astrological effects of the planets. However,
Bardon does not appear to name or describe the principal magical spirits
of the planets beyond Saturn, i.e. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Also, do his rituals, or rituals based on his material, work, in
bringing about desired material and other effects? Can anyone give
examples?

As well as being an occultist, I am an astrologer (I believe I have
worked out what transits are most conducive to magical/psychokinetic
operations), having even written a book on the subject, among many other
things.

John W.
