Dear Chenxsi, >> When i have one-pointedness, i let the thoughts pour like hot oil flowing rapidly into my mind. I simply relax and receive this flow of thoughts. However, when i get into emptiness, its really quite empty, not full of essential meaning. Absolue nothingness, no-thinking. << "No-thinking" is not absolute nothingness, it's merely no-thinking. The thing is, an absence of thinking is usually perceived as an absolute nothingness because we are so used to thinking. It can take a long time for one to perceive what it is that fills the no-thinking state, but that doesn't mean that it's not full. :) It's filled with other-than-thinking. This is why, in the Archaeous, I suggest that one follow an emptiness of mind state with a one-pointedness so that the perceptions that fill the emptiness state can be *indirectly* perceived as thoughts and ideas. If you do that long enough, you will begin to directly perceive the essential meaning that fills the emptiness state. My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 10 Apr 2003 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis
