Gra Tree

To truly understand KTQ I belive one must first have a intimate 
knowledge of the Sefer Yetzirah. For some reason I had never 
come across Aryeh Kaplan's Sefer Yetzirah and have learned 
more in the last two months than I have in ten years. Although I 
still have one or two lose ends mainly concerning conventions 
used and Tetragrammatic relationships amongst the seven 
doubles and twelve singles when set to Gra's tree. For example 
it appears that Gra attributes the following:

Up Netzach YHV K
Down Hod HYV P
North Gevurah HVY G
South Chesed YVH B
East Tiferet VYH D
West Yesod VHY R

It is well explained that the Vav is the axis point and the YH-HY 
order determines direction but when placed on the tree I can see 
no logical (triadic) relation after the first letter. Also when
applying 
the twelve singles in Tetragrammatic form Kaplan outlines the 
letter "jump" on page 200 but again no explained relation.
