Dear Mr. Clark. I read through those papers but it is still a bit unclear to me. I can shut down the trains and the labelling of observances but then the pictures arise and distract instead. Like someone here who had practiced raja-yoga said. Just like turning on tvchannels and whatch unknown people and places. I suppose I identify "mind" as much with thinking as with attention. To me an empty mind would be a mind devoid of labelling, trains and fixed in quiet, still emptyness. (the word fixed doesnt quite please me in this context since it is neighbour to "rigid" but...well). The mind can be empty of thoughs but still have an attention that goes all over the place? To me that seems to be the case at the moment. respectfully yours //Johannes Gårdbäck
