Dear Sérgio, >> Mr Rawn Clark in one message you said that at some point in your training you used auto-suggestion to surpass the problem of not gett up in the morning. I am with the same problem, lately is very difficult to me to get up of bed I would like to ask you or to another member of the group if possible if can you help me giving me an indication of the statement to use or any other method to surpass this problem. According to Franz Bardon the statements cannot have temporary and space references. The statements I have used did not work. << It was so long ago that I don't remember the exact statement but it was something along the lines of: "I awake refreshed and eager to perform my exercises". The main thing is to meditate and really focus all of your will power into your repetition of the affirmation. It does no good to just repeat it to yourself without commitment, understanding and intensity of focus. Your statement must also be of a positive nature. For example, "I will not oversleep" would be an unproductive statement to use because it is a negative statement. >> Another situation is that lately have tendency to fall asleep during the exercises (I do sleep enough). Will anybody know the reason of this kind of situation and how can it be corrected? because this only begin to happen when I begun Vacancy of Mind. On the previous exercises (Though Control and Fixation) this did not happen. << You must fight against this becoming a habit. Several techniques that can be used in fighting this are affirmations (e.g., "I remain awake and alert during my VoM exercise"), splashing a bit of cold water in your face immediately before you begin your VoM exercise, and taking several deep breaths beforehand to hyper-oxygenate your blood. Remember, with VoM you need to remain alert and aware *during* the entire exercise. You might also want to try a less comfortable asana. VoM can be a very relaxing (physically) state which, of course, can lead to sleepiness in the beginning. My best to you, :) Rawn Clark 08 Nov 2004 rawnclark@... rawn@... http://www.ABardonCompanion.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BardonPraxis http://E.webring.com/hub?ring=arionthebardonwe
