Re: Re: Formal Evocation vs. Mental Wandering

Message 01213 of 3835

Dear Peter,

>> What I don't quite understand is how the condensation of a specific
quality of light within the magical triangle into an astral density, and
the evocation of a spirit into that atmosphere furthers that progression
of the subtle mental energies manifesting themselves within physicality.
Especially since, when doing as such, one is seperated from the spirit
that is evoked by both the magical circle and the magical triangle. <<

In addition to Parzifal's comment about exercising muscles that were
previously unexercised by mental wandering alone, there's also the fact
that an evocation involves conversation *at the mundane level of one's
awareness*. In other words, the conversation between the magician and
the evoked entity occurs within the mundane, material realm. This level
of interaction integrates into the magician's waking consciousness much
more readily and completely than do the experiences obtained during
mental wandering.

It's like adding the icing to a cake.

My best to you,
:) Rawn Clark
